Our Oils

Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) packed with health giving compounds is one of nature’s wonder foods. Our Athena Olives EVOO proves that health enhancing and tasting great can go hand in hand.

Our oil, pure olive ‘juice’, has an immediacy and honesty, distinctly resonant of the place our trees grow, where the alchemy of environment and olive tree create the award winning flavour of our oil.

Our oil also connects our grove here in New Zealand to the heritage and culture of the northern hemisphere where traditions and life-ways around the Mediterranean were built on gifts of the olive tree. EVOO readily adapts to use in any cuisine, and will easily find a place in your kitchen.

TUSCAN BLEND

Blend of Leccino and Frantoio producing a fruity and peppery EVOO. Warm and lively it is excellent for finishing, and general use. Other Italian varieties may be added to the blend. (100ml, 250ml, 500ml)

High polyphenols

BARNEA

Made with predominantly Barnea olives, the oil is fruity with green herb hints, and a creamy mouth-feel. (100ml only)

Medium polyphenols

Polyphenol levels - Olives New Zealand Certification Standard

Mild: < 150 mg/kg; Medium: 151 to 299 mg/kg; Intense/High : > 300 mg/kg

GROVE BLEND

This limited release showcases varieties Frantoio, Leccino, Barnea and Manzanillo. With well balanced green, fruit and floral tones, and a warm pungent finish. Perfect for dipping or dressing. (100ml, 250ml only)
